Is there some new web address that you failed to mention where these new things can be seen now, today, or are you describing changes which will happen to Mr. Williams' web site tomorrow? I have always watched NBC news. With the coverage that has occurred prior to the Iowa Caucus to the present...the night before the NH primary, I am very disappointed in NBC news. Whether it is with Brian or the other news analysts, I am extremely disappointed. I am an independent voter; however, I lean toward Democratic platforms. I live in Illinois. I can't say, yet, as to which candidate I support.

What I have noticed is the 'sexist' approach to how the Democratic nomination has been covered. It appears to me that the male candidates can critize Clinton's opinion, her response to the criticisms, her approach to comparing her position to the others. However when she points out how the other candidates are flipping on positions, how they have not communicated or provided a clear description on what they will do in office, nothing is stated...no mention that the other candidates have not answered the question....that they too are waffling.

I am still uncertain on how to vote but I can assure you, NBC has truly disappointed me in their fairness in covering this election.

I personally thought Clinton did an outstanding job on the NH debate. She gave more direct answers then the male contenders....but this goes unrecognized.

The new publication (Science, Evolution, and Creationism) apparently falsely equates "intelligent design" with "creationism". It appears to want to lump together the concepts of microevolution with macroevolution. What are they thinking? They’re not.

The National Academy of Sciences is missing the point. If you look at Darwin and what he proposed, it is very obvious that he got very little right. In fact Darwinism is more of an intelligent lie, than a theory that contains facts. The holes in Darwin’s theory are so loosely tied, it is no wonder that science today is still not able to do the things it wants, because God did create and by the way, still creates. In fact he did create you and them whether you wish to accept it or not.

As science has stated in the past, that it took millions and millions of years to create species or even the planet, you only have to look at the Mt Saint Helens disaster in 1980 to understand that change took place in seconds. And yet, no scientific community will stand up and acknowledge that they got geology creation wrong.

To deny God is an option anyone can take, however the consequences to this can be insurmountable.

Science would be Light Years ahead, if Scientist took seriously all the theories, including Creation and tried to look to God (personally) for the answers.

I think the interview that Brian Williams did tonight was poor on Obama to say the least.. Why no tough questions for this teflon man? What does he stand for? What has he done? No one is asking these questions on this man. Why does the press treat this man differently? Why don't you treat all teh candidates the same? Ask some serious questions and ask voters what they want answers for. After listening to NPR this afternoon on their two debates I learned more about the candidates and I also learned that Edwards and Obama don't answer the questions. NBC used to to do a better job on the news....now you are all about being warm and fuzzy to each other and forgetting that you are paid to report news and ask the tough questions or does politics and who you are owned by get in the way?????

Alexandra - You've got some splaning to do Lucy! Having just read 46 comments which are almost all negative about the new and improved web site I hope you will comment in full. There are very few compliments and some quite upset folks who you will now loose as viewers of the web site and/or the broadcast. Why would you have eliminated the actual nightly news broadcast from the web...Mr. Williams has been touting it over the last year and I know several people who have beeen watching it on line. Can you at the least explain why you made that choice? This web site always has worked best when there is dialogue that is aknowledged by the staff at NBC. I find that in this case most of the answers to questions are being provided by viewers not you or your staff. Whenever there are this many comments a response is in order. It is obvoius your staff has endeavored to make immprovements that favor us and our search for information and credit is due at least from a graphics sense...things are pretty and professional looking...but we come here for content not hype.

I went just now to the web site you have been describing instead of going to the Daily Nightly web site as I always have done, and I discovered why you are touting this "new and improved" site...it is full of advertisements! Even the automatic daily video greeting from Mr. Williams turns into an advertisement and before I could read the items to the left of the video screen that section turned into an advertisement too! So now I understand that all this "new and improved" hype is just to get us to watch your revenue producing adds and taking the broadcast stream off the site was obviously of no importance to you. Are those of you who create and modify this web site (not the content)in the news division or are you in sales and mandated to be contributing to the GE bottom line? That is a serious question and I am honestly curious to learn the answer.

I think I will just continue to go directly to the daily nightly site @dailynightly.msnbc.msn.com and skip the new and improved advertisements site unless the time comes when I will have to go there to see the nightly broadcast.

I have watched Chris Mathew's show for years. I quit watching it a few days ago. I have never heard him say a nice word about Clinton. Always bashing her. I did go back to msnbc today. Ever guest on all the shows have starting playing the race card. Include the host on the show. Kinda early for that. Is there a chance you could give her any credit for winning. I am a Democrat and would have voted for Obama if he wins. I will stay at home now if he wins for the first time in 55 years. You keep playing the race card and it could get get real bad. You are going to set this country back several years before this election is over. Will it be race if in South Carolina if 90% of the blacks vote for Obama? What happened to the balance? Keith Overman coverd both sides and said no way it was race. I will keep watching his show. He tells it like it is on both sides. I think it is going to get ugaly. I look for tomorrow to be the same old thing. I will not turn my TV on msnbc I am impressed with Obama and think he could make a good President. ( please don't start another war between the States.) Right now it looks like it is headed that way. You played a big part in Clinton winning NH.

I'm a person who watches the nightly broadcast on TV every night and uses the website as a supplemental source of info, and from my perspective, this new site design is slimmer, sleeker and much better organized than the previous version.

I like the fact that there is material which expands and compliments the stories featured on the broadcast.

I trust Brian Williams as I trusted Tom Brokaw and the entire NBC News team I've grown up watching. I'm happy to have an outlet like this site, the videos, the blogs which all help to enrich and enhance the viewer's experience and make it a lot more interactive.

It was really good to finally hear you get your hands slapped for almost omitting the Republicans from the Presidential race reports. It seems the 3 major networks think only Democratic information qualifies as news. Sorry, but you are wrong. I am old enough to remember when nightly news reports gave the news - whether it was Democratic or Republican. I miss it and wish it could come back.

Does the media think no one in the U.S. is smart enough to listen to the candidates and decide for themselves what they said? We listen to speeches and debates and then someone else comes on and tells us in their opinion what was said. Why not let me decide for myself? Then you start giving election results before everyone has voted. I think the news media unfairly influences the voters and just puts forth their own opinion. We would have never won WWI or WWII if we had the technology we have today and everyone new what was going on before it happened. Give us all a break and recognize we have a few brains and know how to think for ourselves. Report the news and not your opinion. Thank you for allowing me to present my thoughts.

Why is it when Tim Russert is introduced it is "Washington Bureau Chief and Moderator of Meet the Press. I get tired of hearing that. Does he require everyone to address him that way. In regards to the Nevada Primary Debates. I am appalled by the way NBC and GE handled the attempt to remove Kucinich for the Nevada Primary Debate. The "uninvite" was a blatant show of censorship and "self-interest" on the part of GE. I am glad that the Honorable Judge Thompson agrees. I expect better from you--as a reporter and a citizen--and the companies you work for. I expect this outrage to be raised during the debate. Uninformed citizens of this country deserve to know that NBC is not unbiased. They deserve to know that it is looking after it's own interest before that of the American people. NBC and GE owe Kucinich and the American people a formal apology.

I, for one, will never watch and NBC/GE station ever again. I hope others follow suit and it hurts the companies bottom-line.

I enjoy watching you news casts but believe you are missing some key stories. The congress/president recently awarded the Medal of Honor to a soldier yet you did not report this event. If you support the troops as you say you do, then these stories should always be covered and broadcasted. These young men and women are receiving the nation's highest honor, often posthumously, yet it is never reported. I think you do them, their families and the nation a dishonor for not reporting these events.

I'm hoping that this email actually gets to Anne Thompson or Brian Williams. I saw this piece last February shortly after my mother was diagnosed with an Autoimmune disease. My father is a WWII veteran. I passed this information on to him and he said he checked into it and was told he was not eligible. Basically I let it drop until now. My mother has had a rough year with her disease and has now fractured her sacrum. She has to have complete bed rest and needs to have a nurse come to the house to get her up and help her move everyday so that she doesn't develop blood clots or bed sores. Medicare will pay for one hour of nursing care a day.

When I called the VA to find out about my parents eligibility I was told that unless my father was disabled my mother was not entitled to any benefit. The way your story was presented there was no mention whatsoever pertaining to the veteran being the one who was disabled! When I told the person I was speaking to this she said that they had no control over the way stories were represented on television and that the program did not tell the story properly! This I find not only appalling I am sincerely disappointed that my father served this country during the war and he's not entitled to any help that is there for this purpose and would relieve some of the burden on him for the care for my mother. I appreciate the new format for the debates that we saw last evening between the Democratic candidates. Please continue to focus on the issues, and followup on those issues. The beginning of last nights debate was NOT what most people want to hear...focus on the TV talk show topics that are not relevant....Tim Russert and Brian were not impressive in the first segment. They were focusing on trivialities and gossip type comments. The remaining 2 sections of the debate greatly improved in quality when issues were discussed. This is what people want to hear. Let the talking heads babble all they want about inferences we want to hear the individuals discuss specifics; ie: how and when do we leave Iraq,what is to be done to correct the deficit created by the conflict, and healtcare availability and how costs impact US in competitive markets, plans for protecting/improving the enviornment,what can be done to strengthen our volunteer military -to name a few primary concerns I hear questioned frequently in converstations. PLEASE address the issues and do not focus on the trivial and unimportant. During the last 2 elections we discussed endlessly questions of morals and values that were inappropriate for a presidential debate. We did not get any specifics as to what the president felt about the issues, only generalities. We cannot afford to make that mistake again.
Please continue with more interation and discussion of issues and follow through on comments which will provide the audience with needed insights.

Last night when you signed off the Nightly News we were shown Rockefeller Center with the snow falling and the trees covered with twinkling lights. What a beautiful way to end your program. I know people back east think snow, here we go again, but for people from South Texas the site is lovely. Would you please explain to me why, every night, there appears a shot of the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange with the assembled crew at the dais clapping their hands, smiling broadly, and often acting as if they are totally unaware that the market has just lost a fortune. Why is there such a disconnect and who chooses those people who are there in the first place?
Secondly, it is possible that the Alexandra Wallace, who is on your news staff, was in my 7th grade at National Cathedral School in Washington?

In Tom Brokaw's interview of former President Bill Clinton on Nightly News, Mr. Clinton shares a narrative about Hillary Clinton dedicating her life to Civil Rights causes after hearing a speech by Martin Luther King in Chicago in 1963. He omits the fact that Mrs. Clinton campaigned for Barry Goldwater in 1964. Goldwater was one of the only Republicans to cross party lines to oppose the Civil Rights Act. Why omit this from the narrative?
