My husband and I were touched by the effots of so many people to send musical instruments to our troops in Iraq. What a wonderful difference a bit of music makes. Could you please let us know if the "Operation Happy Notes" Tee Shirts that were worn by Steve & Barb Baker are for sale and how they can be purchased.

My son Travis is currently deployed in Iraq. He has been a talented drummer for several years, however taking drums overseas just wouldn't work. Steve and Barb Baker sent Travis a beautiful guitar, and he is spending what little spare time he has learning how to play it.

About two weeks ago, Travis had a very close call. He saw his life flash before him as a roadside IED was detonated, blowing up the vehicle right in front of him. He said they experienced a miracle because nobody was hurt.

That evening, still shaken with the vision of what he saw stuck in his mind, he told me he was going to go play his guitar and read his Bible to get his mind off of the experience. The guitar, sent to him by Operation Happy Note, seems to be a refuge from the war. Yes, music is good for the soul, and my thanks go to Steve and Barb Baker, as well as all people who have contributed to this program that is directly touching soldier's lives.

I missed the show but I have already been touched by the Baker's. I requested a guitar for my daughter's boyfriend who is in Iraq on his 2nd tour. He was so happy and surprised by the love of these poeple. He got his this past June '07 and it really helps him to stay calm. Pray for our Troops, the Baker's, the President & the USA.
