A guy chases his wife into the woods and no search party is called? The cops arant called? Worse if you didn't call the cops, then you're like an accessory to the murder of your friend. Give yourself a big pat on the back. Some friend. My son went "missing" in Jan. 1999 and has never been heard from since. The last time he was seen was in FL. It's hard to tell by looking at the composites but 2 of them have similarities. The 2 that have been identified look nothing like their composites. I don't know if I hope one of them is him or not. He would never go so long without contacting us. Do I call or do I wait? I called after the DNA retrieval and no one called me back. I have been scared for a really long time.

A DEDICATED INVESTIGATION

I wonder if these people died at the same time or over the course of many years?

A DEDICATED INVESTIGATION

gary michael hilton??

A DEDICATED INVESTIGATION

Yesterday, Fort Myers police unveiled facial sculptures of the six unidentified men, recreated from skulls sent to a forensic sculptor in Wyoming. Check out the Wikipedia or Crimelibrary pages on this monster.

Conahan is also known as the Hog Trail Killer. He was arrested in mid 1996, held and later convicted of 1 murder in the Ft. Myers/Port Charlotte area. The condition (nude) and locations (desolate/isolated wooded areas) of the (all male) bodies, in this cold case, is consistent with the condition/location(s) of his other victims.

He was also observed driving by this same Fort Myers wooded area, a decade earlier, when the police were watching and tailing him. They were watching him because another man (and almost another murder victim) called the police, after Conahan took him to this same approximate location in 1996, and attempted to strangle him with a rope after tying him nude to a tree. It seems this may have been a preferred spot of Conahans because of its remoteness/isolation.

I'd say to the lady, whose son has been missing since 1999, he's probably not among these victims since Conahan has been in custody since mid 1996.

Also, the police don't seem too worried that a potential serial killer is on the loose, since they probably have additional evidence that these 8 men were additional "Hog Trail" (i.e. Conahan) victims. I think they know the killer is safely locked away. It's only a matter of time until they disclose it.

It will be interesting to watch this case continue to unfold and discover how they determined these 8 men were in fact murdered (and perhaps what tied them to Conahan).

A DEDICATED INVESTIGATION

I just finished Dr. Heathers forensic anthropology class this semester and she is a great person. Most of my professors are involved in many local cases and sometimes we are allowed to work with them. UNfortunately, the news misleads the public. She found many different ethnicities in the remains. Some were hispanic and at least one had carribean decent. All the news says is 8 white males. Take what the news says with a grain of salt.
