First of all the report by Mr.Todd on President Obama's trip to Russia and meeting with Russian President Medvedev on the control and reduction of nuclear weapons. The reseting of a relationship bewteen the two super powers and trying to reach an agreement on arms reduction. As President Obama stated the old cold war approach is outdated and Putin's attitude has to change in the approach. He is the Prime Minister not the President of Russia as he once held the office, but one certainly has to determine who is actually in power over the decisions. Hopefully, between President Obama and Russian President Medvedev there will come a reasonable decision.
On another note the report by Andrea Mitchell concerning the decision of Governor Sarah Palin to step down as governor has left many questions as to why she is quitting so early and not finishing her term. It is not typical for a governor to quit mid-term and her decision raises questions from people in the Republican Party. She will most likely make much money in speaking engagements, writing books and television appearances. Time will tell for her political future.
The report by Mr.Okwu about preparations for the Memorial for Michael Jackson is certainly going to bring a massive amount of people to the Staples Center in Los Angeles. As Mr.Okwu stated one does not know will happen, but performers have been rehearsing for a tribute. Many people hoping to be able to have a ticket to the memorial. It will be a huge event.

Congratulations to Roger Federer for winning Wimbledon and 15th Grand Slam Title! I watched the fifth set match and it was exciting to see Federer and Roddick play such great tennis. Great Match!

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Holt! Peace to You and to All!
Lots of Love to Laurel,Jackie,Stephanie,Claudia,Celine,Anna,Lori,Cary and Matt!
Be Well Always!
Stay Extra Safe and Well Richard!
XOXO

A summit awaits

Hi Lester,

I hope you're having a nice week. I'm home and settled in. Sorry I didn't get to watch you that much over the weekend. But I've been reading your blogs. I'll be watching Brian tonight. It's almost become a tradition or ritual, to watch the news with both of you.

I'm glad they found the serial killer or spree killer here in S.C. People will begin to rest much easier.
And I'm so glad that Gov. Sanford isn't the center of attention anymore. These days, it doesn't take took long. Ms. Sarah planned that just right.

As I wrote Brain, hopefully I'll be able to return to work soon after having been away for several mo. But I'll record your broacasts if I have to. I look forward to catching you on the "Today Show" and "Nightly News" this weekend.

Have a great week.

Vicki

A summit awaits

Hi again Lester,

I was going over your posts, and I'm just wondering about this. Why would a thirty six yr. old former football legend,(married) be with a twenty yr. old woman? I know the answer to that, but some should see it as Steve being extremely irresponsible. People shouldn't be killed for that. It's just that he should have realized that he was seeing a woman who was still a teenager. Where were his friends in all of this, and letting him know that he was going down a one way street? I really feel sorry for his wife, children, and also for the young woman's family.

Vicki
