I am a consulant at a treatment center for addicts and I know from experience that the addiction to Prescription drugs is epidemic. A few years ago one of the large newsmagazine wrote an article about a small town in Ky. where the teens and young adults were addicted to Oxycotin. At that time it was cheaper and easier go get, mostly from relatives who were not aware their drugs were being stolen.
Some years later I had a molar pulled and I forgot to ask the Dentist for pain killers so when the surgery began to bother me it was a Friday night. I lived in an apartment building with only 11 units. I went to two apartments to ask for pain killers and lo and behold both of them had oxycotin. I wonder how many of the remaining apt. dwellers had this drug?
Now my experience as a consultant for trauma reduction and other treatment centers some addicts went to heroin when they could no longer afford oxycotin and theyare disappointed at the reduction of the effects. Wake up America. HELP OUR YOUNG ADULTS

When I heard about the Statute of Liberty opening to the public for the first time in 8 years, all I could think about was tax money spent on private contractor fees. Just how much did we pay for the improvements at Lady Liberty? I would genuinely like to know. Thank you.
