As we wait to see if Lester Holt makes it back in time for the evening broadcast, it seems appropriate that we're doing a story on the first major winter storm of the year. The system is bringing

Snow blast

Well Amy looks like Lester did not make it back in time for the nightly newscast, though I am sure he gave it his best try. You know you do excellent work yourself, glad you were able to fill in.

Snow blast

Good Evening Amy, Nice to see you this evening filling in for Mr.Holt. And good to know he landed safely back in New York! First of all the report by Mr.Fletcher about the continuing crisis in Gaza. The fighting has caused so many deaths and to learn most of them are children is sickening. Seeing the bombs explode not far from the children is terrible and I cannot imagine how frightened they must be. With no heat, hunger,no electricity, water and losing their homes ending up in abandoned buildings for shelter it is simply heartbreaking. The stress must be unbearable for them. I really and truly hope the fighting ends very soon. Too many innocent lives have been lost and it has to come to a peaceful resolution.
On another note the report on the winter weather storms made me shiver. The report by Mr.Taibbi really showed hard hit States in the Midwest with all the snow and ice plus the frigid temperatures. Having lived in Massachusetts I remember the terrible cold weather and heavy snowfall. After hearing the amounts of snow predicted to fall I hope it isn't too bad for the people in those States. Bundle Up!

Nice to see the commissioning of the USS George H.W.Bush aircraft carrier. Very nice ceremony.

Good to know the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center is being milled for Habitat for Humanity homes. A very worthy cause.
Thank You for the Broadcast Amy. Peace to You and to All!

Lots of Love to Laurel,Jackie,Stephanie,Claudia,Celine,Anna,Lori and Matt!
Be Well Always!
Stay Extra Safe and Well Richard!
XOXO
Snow blast

Amy I knew Lester was having to much fun with the electroics show, if he has another assignment like that put a GPS on his leg.

It looks like the Israel/Palestine conflict will last until Jan. 20th when we have a new President.

President Bush Senior looked happy with the honor given him for his Military Service and serving the Country in other ways. I don't see that happen to George W. Bush on either area.

Let's hope Obama gets some help from those on the Hill with his plans to help the American people. It was a quick vote by Law Makers to help Wall Street with even the White House in support, yet for the people not a word.

Have a great day all

Snow blast

http://images.yandex.ru/yandsearch?p=154&ed=1&text=%D1%84%D0%BE%D1%82%D0%BE%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%B0%D1%84%D0%B8%D0%B8%20%D0%B4%D0%B5%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%B9&spsite=turkmenpost.blogsome.com&img_url=rh.foto.radikal.ru%2F0707%2F07%2F876a72e5e146.jpg&rpt=simage
its the end than there is no one to help you

Snow blast

Snore.......Yawnnnn.....You media folks always overplay the severity of these little events. It snowed less than an inch in NYC, then warmed enough to melt most of anything that stuck. The snow, at best, on and off for a few hours, stopped fully by 5pm. All that was left were wet streets, lots of salt and a mixture of chemicals designed to keep the melted snow from re-freezing. There was no 'major winter storm'. Certainly not in NYC. Even upstate there was merely 5-7" of snow; hardly newsmaking for residents used to multiple feet in many real storms during a normal winter. Stop this over-hyping of non-events. It cuts your credibility to near zero.

Snow blast

Great job on the news Amy!

Snow blast

Nice story on the Florida moon.

Is Las Vegas giving odds on when the
Supreme Court will rule if Pres.Elect Obama
is eligible for the Presidency? Just asking!!!
There is so much buzz about his birth
certificate.
