Dear Brian,
I watch you everynight at 5:30 central, because you are my favorite news anchorman. I am 49 years old, and I would like to make a difference. I have working hard for 31 years, and I have decided to help our worlds environment by wanting to move to Phoenix, Az. and assemble solar panels at a company somewhere. After all life is short and I want to help save our worlds environment for all future humans such as our children we care so much about. Thank-you.

Dear Brian,

As a bipolar person and former member of Fountain House, I was slightly disappointed in the Making a Difference segment featuring Glenn Close.  Not enough of the segment was focused on the actress and her sister.  Too much was concentrated on Fountain House, admittedly a fine institution that helps many mentally ill people but one structured according to the rigid model of a "clubhouse."  When I was a member of Fountain House, I actually found it detrimental at times to my mental health because of the rigid adherence to the notion of and rules relating to a "clubhouse" by its staff.  I would have liked to have heard more of Glenn Close and her sister's personal and familial feelings and experiences, less commentary by the executive director of Fountain House.  In addition, the actress and her sister conveyed a concern about the mentally ill in general and the issue of stigma specifically, both aspects reminiscent of the mission of Fountain House rather than something more personal and indepth.  Moreover, given that her sister is bipolar, as a bipolar person I would have liked Glenn Close to hone in on a bipolar cause rather than mental illness at large to personalize her sister's experience.  Still, a fine segment, Brian, since few network news outlets offer coverage of mental health.  Well done.  Commendable.
