Mr. Williams:

Regarding the Israeli/Palestinian conflict would you kindly inform your viewers on a daily basis as to the number of casualties of both sides.

Perhaps in dong so, without any comment from you (just facts) would give the average viewer a more clear picture of the disproportioned conflict.
The world isn't just watching the Israeli government commit a crime in Gaza; we are watching it self-harm. This morning, and tomorrow morning, and every morning until this punishment beating ends, the young people of the Gaza Strip are going to be more filled with hate, and more determined to fight back, with stones or suicide vests or rockets. Israeli leaders have convinced themselves that the harder you beat the Palestinians, the softer they will become. But when this is over, the rage against Israelis will have hardened, and the same old compromises will still be waiting by the roadside of history, untended and unmade.
To Brian, re the Obama children and not covering them further:  Thank you, thank you!  They need - and deserve - their privacy and to be allowed to just be children.  I've always loved NBC News, but now you're even higher on my list by showing so much class.
Mr. Williams and the NBC Reporting Team: Thank you for choosing the right thing to do in NOT reporting daily on the Obama children. I cheered when I heard Kerry Saunders say they were moving the camera crew from sight when the girls' motorcade was approaching the school yesterday, and was equally impressed with your decision announced on Nightly News last evening. Thank you for taking the high road. I can only hope other media outlets will follow!
Dear Mr. Williams...
NBC's news coverage of the current Israeli/Palestinian conflict further reflects NBC's slanted and strongly biased, left leaning, pro-Palestinian perspective.  Isreal warned Hamas (based in the Gaza strip) to cease firing missiles into southern Isreal repeatedly for many days prior to launching their reprisal.  Their attacks are based on military intelligence reports that indicate weapons and ammunition stock piled in many areas, but especially in mosques and U.N. buildings.  Do us all a big favor and just report the facts, but ALL the facts.  Save your editiorials for properly labeled segments at the end of the evening broadcast.  Respectfully yours,
Mr Williams and the entire NBC news team:

Please leave the Travolta family to grieve in peace.  As a parent and grandparent, I can only imagine the severe grief they are experiencing.  They do not need to have their story dissected on national news, whether their son was on the proper medications, etc.  They are a rarity in the entertainment world: a caring functional family.  Please leave them their privacy in this tragic time period.

I applaud your decision to not report on the Obama girls.  Thank you!
I second the comment that Ms. Davis made - totaly agree with letting them be children and to the extent that they can - when spending the next 4 (or 8) years in the White House. Thanks for walking in the shoes of the parent and not the ratings!
Brian Williams, you and NBC are a class act. By not showing the Obama children and agreeing to allow them to maintain their privacy and enjoy being normal children, I hope you have set a precedent for other news outlets. Kudos for taking the high road.
The ironic part is that I caught this broadcast by accident as I usually watch ABC at 6:00, but you have gained a new viewer by showing integrity and respect.
Dear Brian-

I have been watching you for years and have always loved your class and style. But on Monday evening you closed with two exceptional accolades
1. The last time we would see the Obama girls at school as they are busy making new friends was perfect.  You and the news team get it, respecting privacy and those girls deserve this.
2. You thanked Lester, Amy and Ann for covering for you while you enjoyed time with your family.  What a wonderful way to say thank you to them and that you respect your fellow co workers.

Just wanted you to know that I am concerned about the world but impressed with the genuine appreciation of others that you show on a daily basis.
Mr Williams:

Why have a story about Ms Obama??? Is not or should not "soft news" be the provence of the Today Show?? Could it be that there is not enough hard news to fill your 20 some minutes??? "Uncle Walter" surely would have found a hard news story to fill the time alloted.......
Your reporting is GETTING WORSE
You show the Gaza conflict as extremely
one sided. It's as if you are saying, "How dare Israelis defend themselves"
Three minutes of the Arab side and ten seconds of
the Isreali side.
You are adding to the anti-Semitic problem
What is going on at your station?
I'm trying to keep the faith in the (TV) National News... But, I'm looking for the balance in expressed "doubts" with expressed "cause".  Statements on Obama's "solution to the toughest times ever", needs to follow a statement on the "policies of the worst President ever".  I hope that NBC (inclusive) has the intestinal fortitude to come back from the brink  "yellow journalism".
Shouldn’t one be worried when our president elect states that only the government can stop the economy's spiral downward?
Why not try something more patriotic that would not add to the national debt? If the US can rally when our country is attacked why not ask our citizens and industries to rally now and stop the economic downward spiral?
Isn’t the current problem now being fuel by the continued loss of jobs?
All we need to do is temporary take a cut in pay of 5 or 10% so that our fellow workers would not have to be laid off and / or we could work a 4 day week or have one day off every other week with the appropriate reduction in pay. Companies could also reduce the price of their products so that more people could afford them and the products would be more completive overseas so our exports would increase.
Isn’t far better to make zero profit (breakeven) then go out of business? Reducing profits equates to the company continues to exist and people have jobs.
Reduced salaries equates to we all share in the recovery and that there are more jobs.
More employment equates to people can purchase products and that equates to more profit and more jobs.
Instead of increasing the country’s debt and stating that only our government can save us, why doesn’t our new present ask the people and industry to rally and fight this economic war by all making some sacrifice?
Husband and I just saw your piece on prostate cancer. Are you people nuts?  IF my husband hadn't had his PSA checked at age 50, he would have been dead today. He had NO symptoms of prostate cancer, only an extremely elevated PSA. Then the needle biopsy which showed he had cancer. PSA is ONLY a blood test.  Please Please all you men out there...have YOUR psa checked regularly.  My husband is now a 2 year 3 month survivor thanks to psa testing.  DO NOT take such a foolish chance.  Any side effects FAR out way the alternative - DEATH!!
Your segment on prostate cancer is doing a great disservice to the male population. I have had PSA tests done for years. About 5 years ago I had a big jump in my PSA level and a biopsy was performed with no cancer. Two years ago I had a big jump in my PSA level, biopsy performed and cancer discovered. Ultimately, I had my prostate and lymph nodes removed. It saved my life. It is not the rising number each year that is important but the the sudden jump that is important. How many men will stop getting annual PSA tests performed and may die from your segment. A small cost and a little blood drawn each year is a small price to pay for living longer.
