Back in New York thanks to my friends at Amtrak. The blogs and morning papers chose some interesting follow-up topics, including the First Lady going sleeveless last night, showing off what the Washington Post's billiant Robin Givhan has called her "post-Title IX Arms."

Here's the New York Times Caucus blog. There's also Mark Halperin's list of 15 items about Obama and Dana Milbank on Twitter. The other piece of required reading this week is the New Yorker profile of Rahm Emanuel.

We hope you can join us for tonight's broadcast.

Dear Brian,

Thanks for mentioning Rep. Eliot Engel last night, prior to President Obama's speech.  I had seen Chuck Todd's interview with Mr. Engel, so I was already looking for him.  It's nice to know that, after 20 years, he still gets excited about the ceremony of it all!

Where were the two missing Supreme Court justices?  If I don't show up for an all staff meeting, I'd better have a good reason.

Since Socks the Cat lived out his final years in my "neck of the woods," I wanted to share the link to the article about him in today's local paper:

I'll see you tomorrow night on "The Daily Show."

Lots of love to all the usual suspects!  XOXO
Hi, Brian! I hope you're having a nice Wednesday.

Thank you for your great job on reporting Barack Obama's speech last night, and a great Nightly News broadcast as usual.

Also, thanks for including these interesting blogs. I thought Michelle Obama looks so beautiful last night, with or without sleeves. She has the right arms for sleeveless, too! Maybe that will inspire us ladies to get some exercise!

I'm looking forward to the broadcast tonight, hope you have a good one ahead of you.

Have a great evening!
Take care,
-Cary

Hi Brian
Well it's back to work and listening to who are afraid the Stimulus Plan will work. Now Michelle looked really nice last night and President Obama always shows his wife respect.

Gov. Jindal gave his campaign speech last night and he's off on vacation while the citizens of Louisiana are struggling. Good news is the Louisiana Lt. Govenor will accept the Stimulus for the citizens of his State. Jindal was smart he sold the story refusal story and knew his State would get the money. It's was all about politics with Jindal.

Looks like George W. Bush will do speaking events at a cost of 150,000 plus he wants a plane to travel. I guess he sees President Obama flying and wants to do the same. The events aren't open to the Press or the Public and that's to bad for David Letterman who needs fresh material for Presidential Moments. Obama is to smart and speaks well so it's something Letterman can use. Bush might ask McCain or Govenor Terminator to borrow their planes for his trips.

Looks like CBS has a new VP who is close friends of Jack Abramoff. Maybe he visits Jack in jail who knows what friends do these days.

I spent the day with a group of young people. One young man used his computer to figure all the debt the US has as of today. It includes credit cares, homes, national debt, borrowed money from other countries etc. The total came to 53 trillion dollars as each person would have to pay 150,000 dollars to clear it up. Now McCain and Boehner say they don't any debt left for their children and grand children to bad they not know Economics.

I look forward to the White House posting of the cost of Iraq and Afghanistan. It should be interesting to know exactly what these countries are getting from Tax payers.

see you same time same place
Our First Lady looked gorgeous last nite!

Good Evening Mr.Williams, A fine broadcast this evening. First of all nuch news on the economy as always. The report by Savannah Guthrie concerning the speech by President Obama last evening on the economic crisis stating much money will be spent over many years to help in bringing the economy on the right path. Tougher regulations should be made on Wall Street and the accountability of how the money is being spent is vitally important. The speech the President will give in Friday about the Iraq war and the US troops levels should state a reduction in the number of troops. Time will tell.

On another note the report by Mr.Costello about the crash of Turkish Air Flight 1951 showed how quality of the plane helped many survive the crash. Better technology helps save lives and many did walk away from this crash. Hopefully, evidence found will aid in finding out why the plane came down.

Nice to know the the First Family is close to deciding on the type of dog to be in the White House and the possible names. I'm sure it will be a cute puppy!

The piece by Mr.O'Neill on the return of Tiger Woods to the golf course was good news. Many watch golf tournaments when Tiger plays hoping he will win. It draws many people to buy tickets and helps charities raise money for their causes. Anything that brings good news is wonderful. I hope Tiger does well!

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Peace to You and to All!

Lots of Love to Laurel,Jackie,Stephanie,Claudia,Celine,Anna,Lori,Cary and Matt!
Be Well Always!
Stay Extra Safe and Well Richard!
XOXO
Ms. Obama looked rediculous wearing a sleeveless dress in February.  She should have been wearing a sweater or jacket.  Obviously our nation's leaders are not conserving energy and keeping thermostats low in government buildings like I have to in my house.  My thermostat is on 60 during the day and 58 at night.
Tell Brian Williams and the producers of NBC News that it's sickening how they're making a big deal about Obama's dog.  Utterly barf-inducing. Just because a lot of people "love dogs" doesn't mean it's smart to love dogs. A lot of people believe in God, but that doesn't mean God exists. If 50 million people like a stupid thing, it's still a stupid thing. Dogs are stupid.
Mr Williams,

Thanks for the link to the Rahm article. I don't know much about him, though I suppose I might  thanks to Josh Lyman. The article was interesting, but seemed to only further confirm what I've have heard in the past.

I enjoyed the broadcast.
Brian"s face was full of rage after Jindal spoke last night. Relax man......is it so awful to listen to a politician (age 37) who speaks the truth??
That was an amusing article about Twitter, and the Tweets coming from the house floor.  I'm a Facebook addict myself, but maybe I'll have to figure this Twitter thing out. I actually just saw a story on Nightline about Twitter tonight.  Facebook (and Twitter) status updates really are addicting.  It's not just for teenagers, as those of us in the 30+ crowd are getting hooked on sharing the details of our life with anyone who cares.
Makes me wonder if we all think we're a little more important than we actually are.  I do enjoy finding out what my friends are doing or thinking, though. Mutual voyeurism.

On to other news of the day:
Wow, do plane crashes come in clusters or what?  It always seems that way to me.  I'm thinking I may never want to fly again.  Especially with my kids. I'd rather drive with two screaming babies than fly anyway.  At least we can pull over!

Big shock there on the best way to lose weight (typed with total sarcasm).
The info on the effects of alcohol on women was really interesting, though.  It makes me glad I don't drink more than once every few years.  I might just be prolonging my life a bit.

-Hello to the usual people. :-)
Oh, I would kill to have my arms look like Michelle Obama's, she is a class act.
Fit is in YA! Mitchelle Obama you look great and it is a pleasure to see a different look in the White House. A very classic look which looks great more women should follow your lead and I hope we do.
