Creating space

If you've ever performed a major home improvement on your own, you know things don't always go as planned. On Nightly News tonight, I'll be talking to some folks who are pulling off the ultimate home project — the crew of the space shuttle Endeavour. They're adding several rooms to the international space station, and have suffered a few setbacks along the way. They’re extremely busy folks, and I appreciate them taking some time to join us this evening.

Before we join them in space, we'll be focusing on the economy, and what Barack Obama intends to do about it. Yesterday, he spoke in broad strokes about a stimulus plan intended to put millions of Americans back to work. Though he likes to say there is only one president at a time, it is clear Wall Street is reacting to what he plans to do. In the eyes of some, he has become the de facto leader of this country's economic recovery – the fact he has not yet taken office notwithstanding. His much anticipated remarks tomorrow will fall against the backdrop of fresh evidence of how deeply retail sales have been hit, as well as automobile sales. We'll have reports on both.

I hope you'll be able to join us for the Sunday edition of NBC Nightly News.

The space staiton deserves notice it is what we pay for as americans some of us  however im just a mouth support not a pocket support but my views should be reckoned with for it is that i am a citizen and I feel it would be interesting to see the  dailey lifes and complications in space can you imagaine?
Dear Lester,

I was struck by something President Kennedy said, in the piece you aired last night:

"...and there's no experience you can get that can possibly prepare you adequately for the Presidency..."

We would all do well to remember that statement, during the next round of presidential campaigns.

Have a wonderful holiday.

Lot of love to the usual suspects.  XOXO
If Citigroup is too big to fail, then it is too big to stay in business the way it is. It needs to be broken down and sold into smaller bites. In what Universe is it a good thing to have a few megabanks running everything into the ground?
Lester sorry to say Obama can give all the plans to help Americans but it will not take effect until Jan. 20th. We have one President at a time and the current President isn't interested in the problems Americans are having. Bush is just enjoying the rest of this term and helping as many friends as possible.

Lester it's good to be a friend of Hank Paulson today. Citi Group already got 25 Billion without any financial problems now that they lost half of their money their going to their friend Hank for more money. Hank has 700 billion dollars to hand out to those who are friends even if they aren't in trouble. Notice how the homeowners are left out as that Hank isn't concerned about. Look for Goldman Sachs to ask for more bailout money before Hank goes back to Congress to ask for more money. We see the Auto Industry aren't friends of Hank and Hank isn't concerned about the millions who will lose their jobs either. Now Citi Group will get more money but still lay off 50,000 employees anyway. One thing Citi will never do is sell it's assets.

Looks like the Talk Show Anaylst are making this current mess Obama's and giving Bush praise for his two terms as Commander-in-Chief. I learning what Obama was really doing with the Clintons, Dashel, Buffet and all the other brains of this Country. He was listening and planning out his chest game. So far he's winning as he puts the right people in the right job. Republicans are hoping his fails but to bad they didn't listen to what Obama said and what a great student he is. A good leader is a good follower. The World Leaders are watching and look forward to working with Obama/Biden and of course Hillary.

Now it will be interesting to see who the Afghan people pick as a President. Bush/Cheney got Hamid Karzai a Unocal worker to take over Afghanstan in 2001 for the assurance of signing a pipeline deal. It worked and President Karzai has been working for Bush/Cheney ever since. The Afghan people need a President who works for them not an American President. Karzai like Bush was a strong supporter of the Taliban but broke off that friendship. If the Afghan election isn't fixed there will be a new President. Maybe the people of that country can finally have some leadership and peace.

See you at 3:30 pm
Good Evening Mr.Holt, A fine Sunday broadcast this evening. Certainly much to discuss about the economy and the terrible crisis. The Economic Team to be unveiled tomorrow by President-Elect Obama will definitely have their work cut out for them. This crisis is of historic proportions and huge challenges face them. It will probably take two years to fix and maybe longer, but I hope there is some good news on the horizon.
The report concerning the upcoming shopping season appears to show people will be extremely cautious about how much they spend on items. When you walk into any large department store there are so many items discounted now when usually it is not until after Thanksgiving. People are worrisome as well they should be and want to be saving for the future.

It was nice to see and hear from the crew of the space shuttle Endeavor and learn of how much renovation they have done to the space station. Sounds like they have accomplished quite alot of work so far.
The piece by Jenna Wolfe concerning the New York Subway cars being dumped into the ocean after being retired was interesting and shows how this effort is helping the sea life. It seems the sea life is adapting to the so called "subway reef" so to speak and as long as it is not harmful then its a good idea.  I didn't realize some of them were off the coast of Georgia.
Thank you for the broadcast Mr.Holt. Peace to You and to All!

Lots of Love to Laurel,Jackie,Stephanie,Claudia,Celine,Anna and Matt!
Be Well Always!
Stay Safe and Well Richard! Enjoy your home leave!
Hope to see you soon on Nightly or MSNBC!
XOXO

Mr. Holt,
Yes, you do belong on the cover of "GQ"

I saw the cover story with Brian Williams on
AARP.

Great coverage last night on President Bush who
will be in Kentucky tomorrow, and he will give
a speech at l0:00 a.m.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Phyllis Kunz

John McCain would be an excellent choice for sec. of defense ...........What an incredible bi-partisan statement this would make !
Mr. Holt,
If President-elect Obama had been smart he would have
picked you as press secretary.  You would  then be the
face of the White House as was Tony Snow who was
the best press secretary ever

Of course, it might not interest you.

Warm regards and Happy Thanksgiving.

Phyllis Kunz
