Message I sent to my Senators and representatives in California,

In the last 24 to 48 hours, what we have heard is that the Senate will ride to the rescue and sweeten the pot to make the bill more palatable for the congress.

What are you people doing in Washington ??

Raising the FDIC to $250,000 is of no benefit to most Americans - however this IS of benefit to most Congressmen and Senators.  Thank you all again for helping yourselves.

Plus we keep hearing that you have added a bunch of tax incentives and other items like a health care issue or two to the pot; but of course no one has stated any details on these enhancements hoping that just the mention of them may change "We The Peoples" opinion of the Bailout.  

WAKE UP PLEASE !  and understand that a great deal of us know that some type of Bailout is probably necessary, but don't treat us like incompetent sheep - We want the obvious -- which Washington is Blind to.

We have stood up to say that we will no longer turn a blind eye and allow others to act as they please in an environment that is always behind closed doors - actions that contain secret deals to a select group of people, Corps. And countries.

We want people associated with this crisis removed.  We want Paulsen, Bernake and the head of the SEC to exit with George W. - Then we want a new group with new eyes that represent the people to move forward in a bailout with the details transparent to the people.  We want transparent investigations of the criminal actions that brought this crisis about no matter how high it goes.

We want to know who is being bailed out and how much they receive and the details of the pay back - and the numbers better add up !  We want a group to monitor this process closely and we want the information to be public.  

We want to make sure that Washington stops operating as CEO's of the Corporation of the United States with No Consequences and Now Acts under Constitutional Law and Represents "We The People" as the priority, and does so fully transparently so that a select few will not again be allowed to utilize a free hand to advance their personal agendas.

Please utilize the huge responsibility we have entrusted to you.

that investment into GE by Warren Buffett is negligible. Your parent company GE is worth around 360 billion Dollars. When he injects 3bn into your company that is like filling a shovel of sand into Sahara Desert. Also Buffett has a net worth of 62bn Dollars. Take the assumption he gets - like a normal person - but I doubt that - he only gets a 2% interest rate on his account, he will get 1,2bn of interests on his deposits. So he will have reiumbursed his investment into GE after 2,5 years. For Buffett, it was like going on a shopping spree, except the commodity he bought was a bargain because the value of GE fell over 30% during the last years. Also a surplus is that he now has a voting power into the company which certainly will undermine Jeffrey Immelt's standing in the company, if he fails to improve the company's performance. But it's difficult to improve GE's performance because the most valuable assets were already sold like Domestic Appliances or the joint-venture between GE and that Middle East investment firm. So watch out NBC, that you don't get sold in the process, because you are also a valuable asset of General Electric.

Thank you for taking advice that you do an interview with Michelle Caruso-Carbrera instead of Ann Curry. It certainly will be a great interview with background knowledge that Curry cannot offer.

Also a news organization, please push Gwen Ifill to be non-partisan in tomorrow's Vice Presidential debate from St. Louis, Missouri. Because she had written a book with the title "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama". That title suggests that she is in the tank for Obama like the "National Barack Channel" (long form of NBC) is obviously. Please push her so Biden won't get an advantage over Sarah Palin. You have the power to do so. Also Obama didn't take the ad the contains the chyrons of MSNBC, voice of Keith Olbermann and video of Tom Brokaw. Do something against that, so you further can clean you image as a non-partisan network, like you were before the ascendence of Barack Obama and his radical left approaches to change the United States of America.

Why did you make the property tax revolt in Florida that has reduced local budgets by state law look like it was part of the recent national economy issues? Many homeowners in Florida can pay higher taxes, they just don't want to because so much goes to support illegal worker families social services. Greedy developers used the available illegal workforce to build houses on speculation rather than reality. Floridians have been picking up the tab locally for social service needs of illegal labor for years with no help from the rest of the nation.  

Brian I always wondered by Speaker Pelosi refuse to impeach Bush even protecting him is some ways. Well with luck and research I found out why.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has directed nearly $100,000 from her political action committee to her husband's real estate and investment firm over the past decade, a practice of paying a spouse with political donations that she voted to ban last year.

Yes the Lady Speaker was up to her neck in dealings with the White House for profit and with that legal act over her head the White House used it against her. Now Feinstein's husband got a big Govenment contract for her cooperation in puting the AG in office.  It's time to clean house and must of these Law Makers made their deals with the corrupt White House.

I got to see President Clinton campaigning in Florida and I watched Hillary's speech in Penn. Now here's my good news Hillary will be in Los Angeles and my daughter got me a ticket so I'll have alot to say on Saturday.

Brian you must remember GE did make a deal with Iraq so Buffet knows how to have his money make money. Look it's good news for the employees and profits will be looking good. Now I'll save a little money to invest after the election. If the right President gets in I could have a net nest egg. If the wrong President gets in I'll just go to Vegas.

Polls are showing good news for Obama. Brian isn't it interesting that Obama/Biden can't cover much on their own and still deal with this bailout problem. McCain/Palin are both doing as much as they can with only them hitting the campaign trail. Yet Obama has his wife, Mrs. Biden, Hillary and even Brother Bill campaigning for him. As Americans what the comdey act of Sarah Palin one can only hope she will have something intelligent to say at the Debate but I wouldn't hold my breath on it. Brian you lucked out as Katie and Charlie needed aspirin after the interview with bubble head Palin aka Chrissy Snow.

When is Andrea Mitchell going to provide the clip of Biden saying that Franklin Roosevelt went on television and spoke during the stock market crash?

Instead she continues to show the same old clip of Biden saying that Hillary is probably the better running mate (as if that's his ONLY gaffe).

Why is Andrea Mitchell afraid to show a gaffe regarding a KNOWLEDGE issue rather than a self-esteem issue on the part of Biden?

Brian, how many times are you going to run Obama ads during your newscast?

Do you have meetings with your correspondents and agree that it's a good way for Obama to get some extra air time for his ads if you "work it into the story"?

I watch every night and always look forward to it.  Thanks for the tip of the hat to Chicago baseball fans. During these trying times we need a break now and again. Have you noticed that fans don't leave after a win at Wrigley Field?  They stay and sing Go Cubs Go as the W flag is hoisted. We are having some fun in Chicago in October and we need it! Good Evening Mr.Williams,Another fine broadcast this evening. First of all the report by Mr.Costello about the passing of a bailout plan by Congress seems to be getting more "dramatic" everynight. As Senator Harry Reid stated that they "Got to get it done". One really cannot be sure this is the ultimate solution to the economic crisis, but something must be done to help this economy out and make a turn for the better.
From the reports by Michelle Cabrera about the big decline in auto sales to Mr. O'Neill's report on how a city in Florida has to cut back on services of repairs this crisis will take years to get back to normal. One thing affects another and it is felt in all types of businesses.
On another note the discovery of the Id's, money and sweatshirt belonging to Steve Fossett was interesting and very sad because he has been missing for alittle over a year. I hope for his family there is some closure to finally finding out what happened. It is very tragic.
On another note the organization that Dr.Susan Love founded to fight against breast cancer is a great step in the right direction. Helping to find out what is needed to prevent this disease from happening by bringing together healthy women to participate in the research is a truly positive thing. I hope this terrible disease will be stopped and this foundation is a great help.
And Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox for both making the playoffs!

Last month Mr. Williams you said it was the high gas prices slowing the ecomny down, now it's wall street.  You change your stance as much as politicians.

Ford's tale is the tale of Wall Street.  Gas was cheap, credit was easy and people didn't mind 10 mpg so they bought the big pickups and SUVs.  Except for a small fringe market in California and some other blue states Ford didn't have any incentives to make small fuel efficient cars.  Their F truck series was a big seller for years.  

Most people in the oil industry knew that easy to obtain oil was coming to an end and becoming harder and harder to pump oil out of the ground.  Still Ford continued to build big trucks and had few plans in the works for fuel efficient vehicles.

Wall Street is of the same mindset.  Easy credit and people willing to trade in smaller homes for bigger and bigger homes every few years with a growing price tag.  Keep lending and go for the easy profit without any thought of a saturation point for the market.

Didn't Wall Street have a built in firewall, a cooling off period built into the system?  When the drop was approaching 500 points the market would shutdown and allow everyone to take a breather.  What happened to it?

During the Depression in the 30s didn't the government put regulations in place that one couldn't buy stocks on credit?  Wasn't that suppose to stop short selling?

Where did all the regulations go that was meant to protect the market and the public from the excesses of the 1920s from repeating?

I noticed something ODD about Sarah Palin's accent on tonight's broadcast. You showed snips of her doing debates in her Alaska Governor's race. During those snips of her Alaska Governor's debates she did NOT have that 'northern country girl twang' that Tina Fey has worked so hard to copy. Has Sarah Palin been affecting the accent - or at least exaggerating the accent? Apparently.

Check out the tapes - There are no dropped 'Gs' at the end of 'ing' ... etc. etc. Frankly in the Alaska tapes Sarah Palin sounds educated, not 'country girl' and her demeanor is very different.

All i want to say is that Barack Obama is a candidate who shouldnt be running at all,he promises to help the world and help solve alot of our issues,but who is this guy really?Where did he come from?He has not even been in this buisness for even a year.He is Islamic people! Wake up before it's too late! He said on a newscast that he would not be sworn in on the bible but instead on the Koran! Come on !!!

I believe that the media are getting things backwards...Mainstreet is not going to be effected by Wall Street.  Wall Street is finally feeling the effects of Mainstreet's woes.  Unemployment has been rising for the past 9 months. In Port St. Lucie, Florida, where I live unemployment is 9%! The only up-sector of the economy over the past several years was the Housing Boom...which to a large extent was artificially inflated with dubious lending practices by most of the mortgage industry.  The job classified ads (an excellant bellweather of the economy) went from more than 5 pages 3 years ago, to less than 5 columns (1/2 page) last Sunday.  Mainstreet is already in a recession. Auto sales being down doesn't have a lot to do with credit, if dealership showroom "traffic" is down by 50%!  It has more to do with the Mainstreet recession which is a result of high fuel costs and downturns in almost every economic sector except housing nearly 2 years ago.  However, nobody was paying attention...the Administration kept saying the "economy is fundamentally sound."  Now Maintstreet's recession has reached Wall Street and we have to bail Wall Street out?  The City of Palm Bay, along with most other city and county governments in Florida are in trouble, but not caused by recent events.  The State of Florida has been in a budget crisis for two years.  Better, research, reporting and explanations needs to be taking place by the media.  Quit telling me that the sky is falling (for most of us on Maintstreet it has alreadt fallen) and tell me who, what,where, why and when...if you went to J-School you might remember these.  Here's hoping that you begin to get it right soon...for all our sakes.

Mr Williams:  What would it take to have NBC investigate Barack Obama?  You at NBC and those at CBS and ABC have not let the American people know anything about him and, as such, I am very worried that we don't know what he is about.  I for one, cannot listen to the words change and hope any longer, they are just words.  I've been hearing through the internet and on Fox News that this guy has a lot to hide......his associations are extremely suspect.  Will you do an in depth investigation, please?

Brian: I have been watching you for years. I am banker, specifically a commercial lender at a small community bank in the Northeast. My clients are small businesses. Comments made on the The Nightly News regarding the lack of credit for small businesses have been upsetting to me. The bank I work for is not having a liquidity issue. We have money to lend and from what I know, smaller competitor banks also have funds available. I think this is important for folks to know. I'm sure there are a number of other banks in this country that are in the same situation. We did not get involved in the sub-prime mortgage business; kept our credit standards the same and have a healthy balance sheet. During these times it is important for the country to hear; it builds confidence rather than fear. I hope you get this side of the story out. Thank you.

Good to see the Senate do something. I think of it like a leaky sink that you do nothing about and in the morning your flooded out. We allowed this Administration to do this for 7 years so it's partly our fault.

I have never lived in Chicago but my Dad's friends and others always wanted to see the Cubs win. So I have to cheer for the Cubbies it's just been longer then some people lasted to see. If the Cubs did make it the supporters should set on their hands as not to make any mistakes again.

I saw a video of McCain's resent speech and his eye was odd and he was disorientated and confused. It was scary because my Dad had those signs before he fell ill. I guess that's why McCain didn't release his medical records only the pages that wouldn't show how made he is. I watched a tape of Sarah with Katie on the question of the Supreme Court cases and seperation of Church and State. Sad so sad. The Debate Thursday should clear up any questions voters might have. Smart move on the McCain campaign not to let Mrs. Palin do interviews as other candidates do, we might not have needed the VP Debate.

Florida voters revolted and capped taxes that is why local governments are in a money pinch. Developers built unrealistic priced houses that no one can buy and drove up the taxes on existing homes. Condos in Tampa were being built in the one to six million dollar range. The workers cannot to live in housing at those wages. The money pinch in Florida local social services is because on the local level the taxing has been stopped not because of wall street threats. Florida had no real jobs before these houses were built and most were built with illegal labor that adds to the tax burden with social service needs.

Your news broadcasts continue to be negative and very biased.  I am very tired of your campaigning for the democratic candidates and not presenting fair reporting.  By the way, Sarah Palin is Gov. Sarah Palin and should be addressed as such.

in the wake of all the recent economic news.


My banking career started in 1970 and ended in 1993, but I still keep close
ties to the industry.  During my banking years I did learn one or two things
along the way.  The problem with our economy today is from a liberal
thinking congress, senators, and presidents, as well as greed and
dishonesty.  When you put these together it spells disaster in any area of
our life.


Ask any banker (just walk in and ask one that has been there for 15 or 20
years) and they will tell you these are the FACTS:


* Under Jimmy Carter we received the Community Reinvestment act.  This
law says banks have to make loans in low income areas and it has forced many
lending institutions to seek to make loans to people in areas that lenders
would not normally go because of the risk and low property values. (Sub
Prime Loans). This was in 1977. In 1980 president Carter and a Democratic
controlled congress passed the Depository Institutions Deregulation and
Monetary Control Act-- The law also removed the power of the Federal Reserve
Board of Governors under the Glass-Steagall Act  and Regulation  to set the interest rates of
savings accounts. A Sad fact is we are all still feeling the effects of his
policies and decisions 30 years later.

* Then in 1995, Bill Clinton, (in between interns) made changes to the

control over Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and place both companies under the
control of the Department of the Treasury, but was voted down by the liberal
democrats led by Barney Frank. Remember the name Barney Frank, he is one of
Obama's top two economic advisors the other is Jim Johnson who

was the head of Freddie Mac and walked away with $24,000,000.

My wife and I lost our jobs in April 08, We worked in the housing market (she was the bookkeeper and I was the distributor). She was lucky and found a job in the first two weeks.  I wasn’t so lucky. I am still unemployed and still looking and my unemployment is fixing to run out.
I am really concerned and frustrated about how things are going in our economy.

I tried to read the bailout bill and make some kind of since out of it. And try and understand what OUR congress is voting for. Some things caught my eye, Like, a tax break for Puerto Rico Rum and a tax break for Motor sports tracks? What is up with that?
I don’t see where that is going to help me financially or help me get a job and I personally think congress has lost there mind.
There has got to be another way to fix our economy than what they are trying to do now.

I wish you could have someone on your show that could EXPLAIN the IMPORTANT Bills that go through congress, So NORMAL people like myself could understand what exactly they are doing with our tax money.

Thanks for the piece on the Chicago Cubs.  I was hoping that NBC would cover the Cubs and all things Wrigley.  As other ball parks fall by the wayside, Wrigley Field still stands.  Our fans are the best.  The team and the manager have a special connection with the city and those who live elsewhere but still love their Cubbies.  Go Cubs!

Can people from Florida comment on the lies you tell on the evening news about how we are trying to stop run away taxes for social services? Local taxes are held down by state law not economy disaster. We want our police and firemen and teachers to have raises but we have so many criminals entering this state illegally and no help from the federal government dealing with the costs of crimes and social services. I guess if I complain about how Sarah Palin may talk or look this will get posted. People from Florida are used to those that talk different and look different so I have no comment on her except I hear what Sarah Palin says but it makes no sense to me as a mom and peaceful person. Why not drop taxes on oil and gas that is so important to our economy and raise taxes on credit card and luxury item commercials, and raise taxes on cigarette, alcohol, weapons and gambling industry?

Brian, I am waiting to hear your commentary on GE and BUFFETS infusion of money he put up to buy prefered stocks. We know that he's looking forward to the government bailout of all bad mortgages(not the good ones) that is going to net his company a lot of dollars in the next 12 to 18 months. Smart move.
 I'm hoping you , as a major news anchor and orator that you will comment on NIGHTLY NEWS about NBC because of ge's ceo that you have followed in his path and lean very much to the left almost to the point of being vindictive of on side and not the other. Inform the people of who your ceo is and what ex'ceos from fannie mae and freddie mac are and how much money they made before the collapses or failures of all these companies. These are the same people that caused the problem and know along with the lobyists on the other side walk free without anyone knowing anything about these people. I thought going to Hanoi to get the "Full Story" on John McCain's alledged toture was a new low for professionalism.  You want to sit down with a WAR CRIMINAL and ask him to describe his crimes.  I am SURE he's going into great detail about all of the pain, suffering and in two documented cases DEATHS of Americans by torture that he participated in during the commission of his war crimes.

Don't read the 1976 masterpiece, POW: The American Prisoner of War Experience in Vietnam.  Oh no, that could be a conservative who wrote that 32 years ago knowing McCain would someday be running for office.  Don't believe the other POW's.  Ask the enemy, because they are more trustworthy than former officers who might be sympathetic to a Republican.  Jouranlism is DEAD.

I honestly can not believe these politicians.  Not that I ever could. They didn't vote because of their "compassion" for the little people. Yet the new plan is sooooo much better??? Look at all the expensive unrelated pork that was added!  What are they drinking in that Washington water?   $6 million for the makers of kids' wooden arrows, $192 million for the rum producers of Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands, $128 million for car racing tracks, $33 million for corporations operating in American Samoa, and $10 million for small film and television productions. Are they serious???? Maybe they should quit drinking all that rum they are funding.

I just want to say my peace. This Bailout is an affront to every tax paying american. It says big bussiness and big money rule this nation not the people. This is a reward for failure and incompitance, I personally will not vote for any of my elected officals that have or will vote for this plan. If you want to help solve the problem go to the sorce of the problem, dont add fuel to the fire.

If throwing money at the problem is going to work throw it at the people, they will use it to pay back those bad mortages, and payoff credit cards. Force the banks and lender to refinance the "BAD" mortgages to lower the payments. This is more likly to solve the problem.
Giving more money to people who have already mismanaged Billions maybe even trillions of dollars is just assinine.

How can I write to Brian Williams direct? Who decides on the moderator of debates? gwen of PBS who also wrote a book on Obama is moderator tonight which this is a very bad deal for Mrs. Palin. I shouldn't even ask because politics are crooked right down to the Debates. Many of us are stunned, again..we know Gwen is not the right person for modeator..even another Democrat would be better..but not Gwen. She will be very hard on Palin on purpose in her "nice" sneaky way. Anyone else would have been much fairer!

Report world news and show video of the news we all know what you look like. The local stations read the news papers and weather reports, I expect much more from you.!!!!!!

Sometimes...I mean most of the time...I mean all of the time there is an unbelievable criticism for anything that has to do with the Republican Party during this election period.  I have been a viewer of your programe for many years and cannot get over the bias in your reporting. This is not just NBC. It has become rampant and it has become ugly. I see that is the persuasion of the network but why is there not more equal and fair reporting and objective comments?  I like to watch FOX and I enjoy watching NBC, however, I cannot get (what I feel) is equal coverage from NBC, CNN, ABC and I get tired of unprofessional sly comments. Believe me, I am not alone. Every station does some of this but you seem to excell at this type of reporting.  Why not be equal to all and enthusiastic about the event and not overly critical about the people.  EQUAL reporting.  That is your profession. Who are you actually voting for? I wonder how many of the workers and reporters at your network just do what they are told and say to themselves at night..what did I really do and then saying to themselves I may be selling my sole as most corporate people do for their own job security.  That is no secret. Who is this Obama? It is very scary to look at his past and present and past accociates. Stop the unnecessary comments.You may think you are professional but you are just a tool.  Have a good nights sleep.
 

Brian, why did you not report the conflict of interest of Moderator Gwen Ifill? Because she has a financial interest in Obama/Biden with her book she should have precluded herself as moderator.  If this had been on the McCain/Palin side the news reporters would have been all over it.I thought the news was to be reported fairly without bias. Yet have been RUDE, UGLY, AND UNKIND TO PALIN IN EVERYWAY.  THIS MAY COME BACK TO HAUNT THOSE THAT DID SO.

I looked at the debate and I thougth that Sarah Palin,talk about Obama,talking the talk,what does she think she was doing.Only talking the talk because she avoided answering question that was put before her that she didn't want to answer. And it's truly amazing to me, that she can get up on national tv, and act as if she's all this and the American people need to understand, that God, forbid if something happen, which I hope it doesn't happen to John McCain she would have it made because she could get her family to help her run the country. It's not about a pretty face and a bunch of chewed up words, or a smitten hair style or shooting a buffalo, or how many sixpack you can put down, it's about the people and what's best for them and their families. She say's she understand about the women sitting around their kitchen table, wondering where their next meal or health insurance, or mortage is coming from but I wonder does she really feel our pain?. I know that Obama and Joe is the real deal. And to leave you with a  little something Brian, a teacher in Elmira, New York, who is a McCain's Supporter, asked her 4th, grade class "How many of you are McCain Fans?. Not really knowing what a McCain Fan is but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands, except for little Johnny. The teacher asked little Johnny why he decided to be different. Little Johnny, said ,"Because I'm not a McCain Fan. The teacher asked him why aren't  you a McCain Fan." Johnny said, "Because I'm a Democrat. The Teacher asked him why he's a Democrat, little Johnny, answered "Well my mom's a Democrat and my dad's  a Democrat, so I'm  a Demorcrat. Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, "if your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?. With a big smile, little Johnny replied, "That would make me a McCain Fan." So even children can tell you something and God, said and the little children shall lead thee.

i was unpleasantly surprised at the "pork" in the bailout bill.  money for: racecar track owners?  wool research?  and the biggest whopper of them all--rum producers off the coast?  Could you please identify the politicians by name that got these measures added to the bill?  Now THAT would be some real news we could use!  

How about reporting on the 1999 story about the expected failure of Fannie Mae and the over all loan scam in progress.

Stress the ""PORK"" scam items that have been added to the "BAIL OUT" bill. That is outright "THEFT" of tax payers money.

Why is so difficult for the main stream media to tell the truth about Obama? He is running for the highest office in the land and he won't even honor the flag nor the National Anthem. Why can't you tell the truth, he is going to creat problems after he is in office and then the people will wonder how we were destroyed from within.

Sun, 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain why he doesn't'  follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General also stated to the Senator that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171... During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to
stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart.  At the very least, "Stand and Face It"

Senator Obama Live on Sunday states, "As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides, Obama said. 'There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a  war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like
To Teach the World To Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might salute it. "We should consider to reinvent our National Anthem as well as to redesign our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love.

Why has the Nancy Pelosi & Barney Franks video from SNL been pulled ? But the one of Sarah Palin is still running, & I'am sure you are even playing it on you newscast. It must be because you know it's true, and you have to stop all truth about Barack Obama & the rest of the democrats ? There is no truth in journalizm anymore, if it can hurt your side. Lies are quite exceptable though for the Repbulicans, especialy for the President !! Please do a story on Liberalizm, and what it has done for this counrty, and it's citizens in the last 20years. Tell us how we are better off, is this what you really believe, or is it the only way you, and many others can keep your jobs ? Will you tell the truth about the morgage mess, and who pushed for the loans to people who could not afford them ? Will you dig into Dodd's & Franks dealing ? Will you trace their trail, starting with Bill clinton changing the rules in the 1990's ?

Has anyone noticed that Mr. Obama seemed insincere and shaloow in his "thank you' to Navy serviceman Terry Shirey on the Town Hall Debate in Nashville last night? Why hasn't the media gotten on that like they did Mr. McCain saying  "that one"?

I really liked you when you took over the news from Tom Brokaw, but you and NBC News are SO BIASED, I no longer can watch your show or any other news media.  How much is the OBAMA campaign paying you guys to look the other way about all of his questionable dealings since his BIRTH!!! He refuses to produce his birth certificate, I believe because he was not born in the USA.  He is involved with ACORN and shoud be prosecuted just like the rest of them. I have tried to find the transcript of the call to Obama his stand on the National Anthem.  There was a comment which referred to this happening on September 7, 2008 stating that General Ginn asked Obama to explain.  The explanation was frightening, I want to see if that was actually what Obama said.  I have seen several references to the call but can not find the actual transcript.  Why is it not here for us to read it for ourselves?

I too would like to know if Senator Obama really said those things about our flag and national anthem. Why are we being ignored?

Jacquie Warnick this is a hoax and has been going around since early as April of this year. You can check About.com and snopes .com. I found this by going to Google and typing in Gen Bill Ginn  (with the + )and Obama and it will bring up  these sites.  

I agree with the lady from Riverton, Utah.  I, too, came to the Meet The Press website to track down the validity of the Obama/Bill Ginn piece.  I couldn't find it.  It should be on the website, wouldn't you think?  I can't imagine America having a President who cannot salute the Flag.

I have also been looking for this transcript where General Bill Ginn asked Obama why he doesn't follow protocol for the national anthem and also to saluting the flag. I can find everything else that was said on 07 Sept 2008, but not that. I've received an email stating Obama's response, but I would like to see it for myself. Who can we trust if the truth is sifted through and pulled from the news if it is incriminating to the party of "choice"?

Post the comments Obama made about the flag. This is censorship of the worst kind. Whether you deem it newsworthy or not. I received an e-mail that is being circulated to let people know what Obama said, I came to your web page to be able to authenticate it. Why would you not post the comments made; unless you are trying to manipulate public opinion?
