'Wake up, it's snowing!'

"Wake up, it's snowing! Don't miss the view!" Those were my 13-year-old niece's words when she called me early this morning.

I felt pleasure and joy in her words, jumped out of my bed and ran to the window. It was much more beautiful than can be described; a scene I have not seen before in my lifetime in Baghdad.

My family used to call my niece Snow White because she has pale skin, very blue eyes, and dark hair – plus she was a fan of the cartoon. So today she was especially pleased, because for the first time she felt what the taste of snow was really like.

Has it EVER snowed in Iraq before?  Is there any doubt that we have done irrepairable harm to our home?  And yet we nations still bicker over parts and pieces of it?  And individuals are determined to kill over their beliefs about the intangible instead of unify over the obvious.
Snow in Baghdad! What a pretty sight because these pictures look so pleasant. The father and daughter look so very happy and the children are cute in their snow outfits. I like the child with the arms up in the air catching the snowflakes. Very nice scenes! Beautiful view for the people to see. They need more nice views to see in their daily lives. Peaceful for everyone. Peace to all!
Hi,

Have the participants in the writer's strike used a mediator?  Have there been any talks lately?
thanks to NBC for giving us this story, and to God for giving us hearts that care, cry, and can be lifted by natures surprise and one another.
Bless you, Bless you and Bless you again NBC News for showing this ACT OF GOD in the News, we need more like it!  It was a blessing to see these people smiling about something that can only be from God.  This truly put a smile on my face and some tears in my eyes.  Thank you for sharing it with us!
