As the US Catholic Bishop works with the politicalleaders on an issue that doesn't exist knowing that 98% of female Catholics already use birth control for numerous medical problems. Even the candidates, leaders and spoke people for the Republican Party know their wives, mistresses and daughters use birth control. Like most women birth control is used for much more then stopping a pregnancy. First it's stopping breast cancer funding now it's other medical help for women but I noticed the Law Makers rushed a bill to get Viagra paid with health insurance. This topic is used for political reason and it sounds like nutters talking. The Catholic Bishop in Rome is busy working on how to stop the continued child molestation done by Priest. Americans don't have time to deal with that as we see each day more pedophiles caught and released because their the well respected professionals Americans trust. We were warned about how easy it is for a Pedophile to molest kids and get full protection as Rep. Mark Foley did this for so many years while his fellow Law Makers said nothing and even when caught Foley blamed his Priest as he said a Priest molested him as a child and now he molest kids.

Smart move on Saudi Arabia's part to buy Nuclear weapons to protect their country and you wont hear any US Law Maker complain about that. Iran has no Nuclear Weapons but Israel who does have Nuclear Weapons don't want Iran to have any. Now Israel or North Korea can even sell some of the Nuclear Weapons to Saudi Arabia.

The US elected Officials/Law Makers are still the SNL show for the World. Rename the Gulf of Mexico and even DeMitt saying the Giants didn't work with the Patriots as people cheered. Rubio proved his lack of the nations of the World. Rick Santorum is all over the place and has his followers thinking he's the Holy One. Even crazy Michelle Bachmann came out for another script for SNL to use. But the biggest laugh so far was Tea Party King Herman Cain. Cain remines me of the traveling Preacher who gave a great sermon, got the money, had the affair with the local young beauty in the town and then moved on to the next town. Many will learn the lesson on using God, Religion for self greed/sin, nothing good comes from it. At lease Obama knows and the American people know nothing will be done until the voters put elected officials in office that will work on jobs/recovery, as it stands Obama will have to work alone until then.

Mitt Romney has a new speech coach and it will be interesting to how he does in his speech today. It's hard to give a speech for people to believe, but so much easier when you really believe what your saying.

    have a great day all

Good Evening Mr.Williams, a fine Friday broadcast this evening.

First of all the report by Andrea Mitchell about the closing of the US Embassy in Syria which is definitely the result of the continuing violence caused by relentless attacks by Assad's government against the residents of the region. Hearing from Ambassador Robert Ford it is simply "unspeakable" the violence against the people. The constant shelling of mortar fire upon the towns including Homs must stop, yet Assad refuses to cease the firings. The International Community must come together to help these people in their desperate situation since it doesn't appear to be stopping. So horrific for the people and one hopes someday very soon there will be a ceasefire and Assad will be forcesd to step down from power.

The report by Mr.Miller from Athens showed how the economic crisis is Greece is causing many protestors to come to the streets. Hearing the hikes in taxes upon certain things and the price of a gallon of gasoline is staggering. Also, how many people are becoming ill due the the crisis which seems o be a humanitarian crisis. A terrible situation the country is experiencing which can be attributed to decades of spending causing the country to be bankrupt. One hopes things take a turn for the better.

What a compelling photo taken in Yemen by a Spanish photographer which won Photo of the Year.

The "Making A Difference" segment by Kristen Dahlgren about the community coming together to help the wounded US Marine and his Wife have a second wedding was wonderful! What a moving and heartwarming piece. Very nice!

Thank You for the broadcast Mr.Williams. Have a wonderful weekend! Peace to You and to All!

      Be Well Everyone!

Stay Extra,Extra Safe and Well Richard!

Take Extra,Extra Good Care Richard and Crew!

Let's party like it's 1899. The ball is now in Mitt Romney's Court. Will he acknowledge Pres. Obama's

compromise or will he embrace the harder right position motivated by anitipathy toward women's

sexual freedom? Sooner or later men will have to deal with the emergence of the autonomous

sexually active woman from the dichotomies of Madonna and Magdalen. The sooner the better.

        Have a great weekend, Brian.

Great story about the soldier's wedding and it is so great to see him and his wife smile.

Got to listen to some of the CPAC Convention with so many celebrities and even two racist leaders Robert Vandervoort and Peter Brimelow. At lease voters know what polices will be done if we get a new President. People follow those with the same values and this was a supportive group. At lease the candidates were honest and made clear women would lose health care and much more.

The 5 US Banks had a great interest in Greece and even Chase CEO Jamie Dimon rushed to Greece to assure Chase's interest in Greece. The people in Greece call this their Great Depression. So many mortgages were bundled up and now most of the US mortgages have lost paper work so their making up new originals to cover their tracks. Hope Greece learned their lesson not to deal with corrupt banks and business people.

            Hi -

I was a bit taken aback by your characterization of the flap over the contraception rule as a fumble bythe President. Why was it not characterized as the right wing being a bit unreasonable?

If anyting, I wish the admimistration would be MORE liberal and stand up to the right wing more.

I completely agree with "cinnamonb". I saw it as a very smooth move, not a misstep. For all the blather about religious freedom, the govt. is not forcing anyone to take contraceptives.

To follow up, I was blown away by the contrast in characterization between Rev. Al's "Politics Nation" show, and Brian William's lead off on the "Nightly News" on Fri. night.

Rev. Al reported it as a win for the White House (and women), while Brian and the WH reporter couldn't wait to agree with each other that it was a failure. As I see it, women got what they needed, and Obama as Lucy, pulled the football away from the Charlie Brown bishops, so I'm not sure how that's a losing proposition.

The Republican candidates have over the week, painted themselves into an anti-contraception corner. Santorum was already there, but Mittens and the Newt may find it uncomfortable....

To the ladies here's my story and with birth control I would have died in Sept.1979. As a Mother of 3 and just giving birth to my 4th little angel, I continued to bleed for 5 weeks. I had to stay in the hospital and was given medication and transfusing but nothing helped. My doctor tried birth control to regulate my body and it worked. I first thanked God and then my doctor for not giving up on me. Today the things I hear will cause women like myself to die. I never really thoughtof birth control at all but did learn it has many uses in women's health. I respect Rick Santorum's push ending birth control because of his faith, but he to was already tested. Karen Santorumlost her baby and as the baby was still born she either have an abortion or died. Rick still had his faithin never allowing an abortion but to save Karen, Rick signed for the abortion. He still has faith but would deny other husbands/children their Mom's if in the same position.

For those with strong faith try taking a few minutes to read the story in the bible where a women who couldn't stop bleeding reached out to touch the robe of Jesue for help. Once she touched Jesus's robe she was healed. I remember my doctor and I talking about that story and it's sad to hear men and even a few women who don't see the need to help women in need of such health care.

it is a documented fact that the world changed in 1979. Phyllis
