My husband and I watched the Golden Globes and enjoyed the program tremendously, but like most I was
surprised Kelsey Grammer won for Best Actor because though very funny he is a pedestrian actor and cannot
hold a candle to Jeremy Irons who is one of our generation's great actprs and a classy British gent which I cannot
say about last night's host of the Golden Globes.
Couldn't find any fresh paint to watch dry? o)

Good Evening Mr.Williams, A fine broadcast this evening as always. I'm sure you are happy the New York Giants are now heading to the AFC Championship. Great win over the Green Bay Packers.
First of all the report by Michelle Kosinski about the Costa Cruise Ship that hit rocks offshore of an italian island showed some harrowing experiences of the passengers. The cause of the shipwreck disaster being human error is tragic with the decisions made by the Captain. It is awful to hear the accounts by the passengers in trying to get to safety. Simply terrible.
The report by Mr.Smith showing a video from inside the dining room told of how the announcement made it sound there was nothing to be worried about in this time period. With all the state of the art technology there is no reason the ship could not have known the location of the rocks. Seeing the gash in the hull of the ship while it is laying on its side is awful. One hopes they find all who are missing. Thoughts and prayers go out to all those families who lost loved ones.
The report by Mr.Taibbi about the rescue of the mother and her two daughters from the horrifying car wreck was amazing. The rescue crew working so frantically to try and rescue the mother and children it was a miracle the construction crew with the forklift came by and was used to help the rescue crew save the mother and two daughters. An amazing and incredible rescue.
Enjoyed the piece on the Golden Globe winners done in the silent movie style since the silent movie,"The Artist" won Best Picture at the Golden Globes. Congratulations to all the winners.
The piece by Anne Thompson about 6yr old Ryan Langston was very heartwarming. An inspirational child with down syndrome stealing away hearts with his modeling and being in store advertisments. A very nice little boy and nice family.

Regarding the story about the mom and her two kids in that horrific crash, I noticed it was mentioned that the baby only sustained minor injuries but there was no mention of the mother’s condition.
Kudos to Ryan the model! I’ve noticed in the last few years that some major department stores have been using handicapped models. I hope the trend to use children such as Ryan as well as handicapped children (and adults) continues.
